Fixing What Matters Most in Clark County
Clark County is facing real challenges—from rising housing costs to public safety concerns and a system that too often isn’t working as it should.
My focus is simple: practical solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Housing Affordability & Attainability
- Protected existing affordable housing by pausing redevelopment of mobile home parks
- Expanded housing options by supporting duplexes, townhomes, and accessory units
- Helped move forward low-income senior housing in Felida with access to services
- Supported down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers
Public Safety & Community Health
- Invested in law enforcement and justice system resources
- Approved body-worn cameras to increase accountability
- Supported expanded mental health and addiction services
- Recognized the fentanyl and overdose crisis as one of the most urgent issues facing our community
- Focused on better coordination between addiction treatment, behavioral health, and homelessness response
Homelessness: A Practical Path Forward
- Helped fund shelter options that get people off the street and connected to services
- Serve as Chair of a regional coordination group
- Focused on identifying gaps and improving how the system works
Making Government Work Better
- Pushed for faster, more predictable permitting—reducing delays and helping lower the cost of housing
- Improved coordination between the County and cities
- Helped create a formal County Manager review process that did not previously exist
Growth, Infrastructure & Quality of Life
- Advocated for neighborhood traffic safety solutions
- Supported Vancouver Lake improvements
- Worked on responsible growth and infrastructure planning
